Michal Jackson added such a great feeling to the beginning.
“Look at you. You’re young. And you’re scared. Why are you so scared? Stop being paralyzed. Stop swallowing your words. Stop caring what other people think. Wear what you want. Say what you want. Listen to the music you want to listen to. Play it loud as fuck and dance to it. Go out for a drive at midnight and forget that you have school the next day. Stop waiting for Friday. Live now. Do it now. Take risks. Tell secrets. This life is yours. When are you going to realize that you can do whatever you want?”—(via).
"I have two grandchildren—Maggie is 11, Robert is 9. I am convinced that if we do not decisively win the struggle over the nature of America, by the time they’re my age they will be in a secular atheist country, potentially one dominated by radical Islamists and with no understanding of what it once meant to be an American.”—Likely Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich.
So, we’ll be atheists dominated by radical Islamists….mmmm… And what the fuck do you mean by “what it once meant to be an American”??? Please enlighten me.
hey, how do you like georgia state? i'm thinking about going to grad school there for either geography or history.
Georgia State is awesome! I love it. I’m not a History major (I’ve only taken one history class so far), but I’ve heard great stuff from my friends who are. And the professors I’ve had so far have offered me so many different insights.
Outside the classroom: One of the things I love most is the diversity and the fact that it’s right in the city, so there’s plenty of exciting things to do.
“We have this fantasy that our interests and the interests of the super rich are the same. Like somehow the rich will eventually get so full that they’ll explode. And the candy will rain down on the rest of us. Like there’s some kind of pinata of benevolence. But here’s the thing about a pinata: it doesn’t open on it’s own. You have to beat it with a stick.”—Bill Maher (via okkervils)
